Education and Global Philosophy & Worldviews BA (Hons)

**Please note that Combined Honours degrees at Liverpool Hope University are split 50/50. The Degree is an ideal foundation for those planning to go on to teacher training or further, at Liverpool Hope University or elsewhere, and for a variety of careers in education and related fields.<br/><br/>**Global Philosophy & Worldviews**<br/>Studying Global Philosophies & Worldviews will open your mind to an evolving world of thought: contemporary philosophy is developing an increasingly global approach, decolonising the western-centric focus that has dominated the field. This course is located within the vibrant and progressive emerging field that explores global thinking and worldviews, which so often include religious perspectives. You will explore how people across the world make and remake their worldviews, and you will engage with thinkers and traditions from diverse backgrounds – Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Islamic, Jewish, and more. This distinctive course seeks philosophical, theological, religious, and mystical wisdom that challenges the (Western) idea that secular reason and science are the only ways to truth.
