This success is underpinned by a strong record of external income generation with the total current contract value of research and enterprise awards exceeding £4m.<br/><br/>Income is generated from a wide range of sources including the research councils, European Union, industry, Government, charities, consultancy and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships where the School is one of the leaders nationally. Our research is to a very large degree interdisciplinary and collaborative with strong national and international links.<br/><br/>Cognitive Systems Research Centre<br/>The Cognitive Systems Research Centre (CSRC) specialises in the field of engineering Cognition, where the physical world is integrated, converged and interacts with cyber-physical/computational systems. Technologies related to Cognitive Systems are transforming the way people interact with engineered systems.
