BA (Hons) English and Multimedia Journalism brings together the best of English studies and modern journalism. With us you’ll explore literature from the Victorian era to today, studying how stories shape culture across film, art, creative writing and popular media, while learning how to tell stories yourself in a fastmoving, multimedia world.
From day one, you’ll work with experienced reporters and editors who bring real newsroom expertise into your teaching. With access to industry standard TV and radio studios, edit suites and digital publishing tools, you’ll learn how journalists produce content for broadcast, print and online. You’ll also get the chance to work on live events and current affairs, gaining hands-on experience, building your portfolio and learning how to meet real deadlines.

Other Level 3 qualifications equivalent to GCE A level are also considered. A maximum of three A level-equivalent qualifications will be accepted towards meeting the UCAS tariff requirement. AS levels, or qualifications equivalent to AS level, are not accepted. The Extended Project qualification (EPQ) may be accepted towards entry, in conjunction with two A-level equivalent qualifications. Please contact the University directly if you are unsure whether you meet the minimum entry requirements for the course.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
IB Diploma with minimum 26 points overall or 104 UCAS Tariff points from Higher Level. If you plan to meet the Level 2 course requirements through your IB Diploma you will need to achieve Higher Level 4 or Standard Level 5 in English
