Individuals accessing services may be at any stage of life and may have a range of mental, physical, cognitive or behavioural health challenges. <br/><br/>This course aims to provide you with the essential values, knowledge, and skills relevant to employment in this sector. <br/><br/>You will explore contemporary issues, evolving trends, and challenges, with a focus on enhancing service quality, including psychological and social aspects of health and illness, key debates and dilemmas in health and social care, and topics related to mental health and wellbeing.<br/><br/>This course will provide opportunities: <br/><br/><br/>- to progress to the next level of study: 1 year to convert your Diploma to a BSc (Hons) Care, Wellbeing and Health.<br/><br/><br/>- to gain employment in Alternative Therapeutic Practices, Voluntary Sector Project Management, Domiciliary Care, Residential Care, Assisted Independent Living, Probationary work, the Police Force, and Youth Work. <br/><br/><br/>The course content includes: Impact of an Ageing Population, Care Practice, Research in the Wider Health and Social Care Arena, Advocacy, Current Issues (Community Care) and Integrated Care Systems (Adult & Youth).
