This degree combines the study of English literature with modules designed to tap into your creative energy and shape it into poetry, prose, film or theatre. You will be taught by a number of internationally acclaimed writers and will have access to frequent public readings in the School by staff, visiting artists, and postgraduate students. We also work with the independent Northern Stage theatre, located on campus, and with the Royal Shakespeare Company to support your study of creative writing in the theatre.
