Including French, German or Spanish. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted. Mathematics required at National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent). Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level and does not have a language at Higher Grade, then National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) is required in a language. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

A minimum of 30 level 3 credits at Distinction and 15 level 3 credits at Merit is required. Evidence of study in the relevant languages to the required level is also required. GCSE Maths grade B or 6 is also required.

With Higher Level French or German or Spanish at grade 6 or above. Standard Level Mathematics or Mathematical Studies required at grade 5 if not offered at Higher Level. Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level and does not have a language at IB Higher Level then Grade 5 in a language at IB Standard Level is required.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Applicants will be considered on an individual basis. B or 6 in GCSE Mathematics required. Evidence of study in the relevant language at A Level or equivalent is also required. Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level then a grade B or 6 in a language at GCSE is required.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
H1,H2,H2,H3,H3
Including French, German or Spanish at H2. Ordinary Level Mathematics at grade O2 required if not offered at Higher Level. Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level and does not have a language at Higher Level, then grade O2 in a language at Ordinary Level is required.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal

Including French, German or Spanish. GCSE Mathematics (minimum grade B or 6) is also required. Where a candidate wishes to study a language from beginners level and is not studying a Principal Subject in a language, then B or 6 in a modern foreign language at GCSE is required.
Extended Project
If you offer a Level 3 Extended Project Qualification, we will vary our offer to recognise this. The EPQ can be in any topic.
