Accounting and Finance (with Foundation Year)

The foundation year offers an innovative new pathway into your degree. It is the first part of a four-year degree programme. It provides an alternative route for those unable to meet the traditional entry requirements for a three-year degree. It will prepare you for your degree studies in a supportive and stimulating learning environment. <br/><br/>You will begin with an exploration of education and society. Over the course of the year, you will build the skills and experience to prepare you for your chosen degree.<br/><br/>You apply via UCAS for the Accounting (with Foundation Year) course and after successfully completing the first year you will progress onto the final three years of the degree. <br/><br/>The BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme aims to:<br/><br/><br/>- Enable you to undertake a rigorous study of the theories and techniques related to accounting and financial management<br/><br/><br/>- Acquire and develop the practical skills essential within an accounting and financial environment<br/><br/><br/>- Develop and enhance transferable skills relevant to a range of employment opportunities in both private and public sector organisations including the third sector<br/><br/><br/>- Enable you to develop competence in accounting and finance, alongside wisdom in its application sufficient for you to enhance your employability and possibly progress to postgraduate study<br/>
