Anthropology and History of Art (joint honours) BA/BSc

Our joint honours course allows you to pursue your own areas of interest within Anthropology and History of Art, providing you with a solid foundation in both disciplines and a range of personal and professional skills which will serve as a springboard for your uture career development. The programme is carefully designed to enable you to gradually develop their knowledge and skills and become effective and independent learners.<br/><br/>When you study Anthropology, you’ll explore what makes us human, what drives our diversity and how we’re connected to our environment. History of Art places a particular stress on the study of works of art and buildings at first-hand, with almost all modules including guided visits to sites in Oxford or London.<br/><br/>Links between research and undergraduate teaching are a distinctive feature of the course, and the combined research experience and competencies of staff have shaped its design, content and delivery.<br/><br/>We are also Top 10 in the UK: Anthropology and History of Art is ranked 8th in the Guardian History of Art subject league ranking 2025.
