This course is the first year of our BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering degree. <br/><br/>The CertHE Music Production & Sound Engineering provides opportunities for you to nurture a diverse skill set that will enable you to thrive in the music industry. Your lecturers are established industry professionals who have worked with artists like Pharrell, Lily Allen and The Killers and you will study alongside fellow producers, engineers, musicians, DJs and singers with whom you can create your own network.<br/><br/>The course is mainly practical but is underpinned by solid theoretical principles. Building your knowledge will support your decision-making, boost your confidence in personal and professional settings and make you more employable in a highly competitive industry.<br/><br/>You will be taught in our brand-new Penn Street campus full of state-of-the-art industry standard equipment including three SSL mixing consoles: a 48 channel SSL Duality Delta and two 48 channel SSL Origins; plus two 7-speaker Dolby Atmos immersive technology systems.

These are acceptable both on their own and in combination with other qualifications. You will require a minimum of two Advanced Highers or three Highers and a maximum of 5 Scottish higher qualifications.
Access to HE Diploma
Applicants with the Access to HE Diploma should normally have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course. Successful completion of this course requires students to gain 60 credits, with 45 credits at Level 3 and 15 credits at Level 2
