Our CertHE Radio, Audio & Podcasting course covers a wide range of skills and knowledge required for working in the radio and audio industry. Our CertHE Radio, Audio & Podcasting course covers a wide range of skills and knowledge required for working in the radio and audio industry. Students will learn radio production/broadcasting skills, interview techniques, presenting skills, podcast creation, radio and audio branding and how the radio and audio industry works.<br/><br/>The curriculum has been designed to reflect industry, with an emphasis on practical skills using the latest software/technology and industry practices. Our lecturers have extensive industry experience and expertise in facilitating learning at HE level and getting students into jobs in radio. In addition to industry-based techniques, valuable graduate skills, sought-after by employers, are embedded into the programme including presentation/communication skills, and how to effectively research, develop, plan, and present creative ideas. Radio courses at pointblank have kick-started the career of hundreds of radio professionals who have worked for some of the biggest stations in the UK including BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, and Rinse FM.<br/><br/>This course enables students to develop a portfolio of tangible work that can be used to secure employment in this dynamic and expanding industry.<br/><br/><strong>Current Validation and Degree Awarding Powers</strong><br/>This course is delivered by pointblank Music School, currently validated by Middlesex University. <br/>pointblank is applying for UK Degree Awarding Powers. If approved, either before your course start date or after you have enrolled, your qualification will be awarded directly by pointblank rather than Middlesex University, with no change to its level or value.

Access to HE Diploma
Applicants with the Access to HE Diploma should normally have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course. Successful completion of this course requires students to gain 60 credits, with 45 credits at Level 3 and 15 credits at Level 2
