Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc

You can tailor your degree programme to build on your past experience, and reflect your interests and chosen specialism.<br/><br/><br/>- Get involved in internationally-leading research at a top UK university.<br/><br/><br/>- Be taught by world-leading academics and have regular contact with them throughout the programme.<br/><br/><br/>- Work in our state-of-the-art facilities.<br/><br/><br/>**What youll study**<br/>This course aims to help students become mechanical engineering specialists with advanced skills in computational modelling, numerical and experimental techniques.<br/><br/>Youll choose from one of our two professional pathways - Computational Design and Engineering, or Energy and Thermofluids. Upon completing this programme, we expect that you will be able to perform design and analysis of mechanical engineering systems in your chosen area, and develop novel computational and technology products for the mechanical engineering industries.<br/><br/>You’ll complete a substantial research project in our excellent facilities, supervised by our research staff.<br/><br/>You’ll also have opportunities to gain industrial experience with our industrial partners, who provide real design case studies throughout the curriculum. Recent case studies were delivered by Bridgestone, DePuys, Baxter, Artis, Corus, BAe, DSTL and Rolls Royce.<br/><br/>**Structure**<br/>This programme offers two pathways: Computational Design and Engineering or Energy and Thermofluids.
