The CertHE in Equine Science and Management provides graduates with a broad and strong knowledge base combined with extensive practical experience. It combines equine science, equine business management and practical horse care subjects to provide graduates with the skills to apply scientific knowledge to a wide range of practical situations. <br/><br/>The CertHE in Equine Science and Management is delivered using an active and blended learning approach. This includes a combination of online theory sessions and on-campus experiential learning. On campus sessions include practical hands-on learning using our excellent equestrian facilities and college horses. Classroom sessions incorporate active learning and group activities making good use of digital technologies. Students will be encouraged to use scientific research to inform their decision making, to be creative and critical in their thinking, and to be curious and open-minded.<br/><br/>The programme is delivered by an experienced team of staff with teaching, research and industry expertise. Learning and teaching is research informed and draws upon best practices and examples from across the world to highlight new and innovative ways of working.<br/><br/>The programme is delivered at SRUC’s Oatridge Campus, the home of the Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC), providing students with access to state-of-the-art equestrian facilities and resources during their studies. Students have opportunities to see and be involved in the running of equestrian competitions and events, as well as engaging with leading industry bodies and undertaking placements.<br/><br/>The CertHE also provides students with the opportunity to progress to the BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and Management to continue their studies.
