ABOUT THIS COURSE<br/>The Pearson BTEC Level 4 HND in Animal Management provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the animal management sector and also offers specialist emphasis through the choice of specialist units. There will also be opportunities that take place further afield, for instance day trips to Chester Zoo.<br/><br/>KEY UNITS<br/>The Pearson BTEC Level 4 HND in Animal Management provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the animal management sector and also offers specialist emphasis through the choice of specialist units.<br/><br/>Course enrichment<br/>Alongside your classroom based sessions, you will also take part in enrichment opportunities. These may include activities at college, such as pond dipping, setting up bug hotels or maintaining the hedgehog hotels that have been established around campus.<br/><br/>There will also be opportunities that take place further afield, for instance day trips to Chester Zoo.<br/><br/>Learning hours<br/>As a guide, 15 credits typically represents around 39 hours of tutor contact time (e.g. lectures, seminars, workshops, feedback) and 110 hours of self-study time, usually over the course of a semester.
