Youll learn how to create and manage successful events that can contribute positively to social and economic development, building your confidence throughout the three years as you progress from working at events to eventually managing and producing them.<br/><br/>Youll gain the essential skills needed for a wide range of career destinations, including the management of festivals, trade shows, civic events, sporting spectacles, weddings, and conferences.<br/><br/>Youll learn from a team of leading academics and practitioners with strong experience in the event sector and strong industry links to regional, national and international events. And youll be studying in the heart of Southampton, a key events hub on England’s south coast.<br/><br/>The placement year will allow you to put what what youve learned in your first and second years into practice in the workplace, while gaining valuable real-world work experience before you graduate.
