Course Overview - Computing Cyber Security HND
The emphasis is on implementing computing solutions for the modern computing environment e.g. energy, transport, high-tech houses, mobile technology, monitoring & smart sensors, green & sustainability technology to name but a few. In the first year you will have one mini-project and one group project. In the second year you will have one/two mini-project/s and a main project. This will enable you to apply the skills that you have developed to complete a practical task of your choice. In the past, previous students have designed websites, mobile apps, Windows apps and networks.

You will need a minimum of 48 UCAS points which may be gained from the following qualifications: Two A Levels One A Level plus an AS Level pass in an appropriate subject A BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma A BTEC National Certificate A level 3 diploma or equivalent such as NVQ, GNVQ, International Baccalaureate, Scottish Certificate of Education A recognised (Kite marked) Access course In addition, you will need GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C, or level 2 equivalent Alternatively, if you have significant relevant work experience or other professional qualifications you may be eligible for the course.
