**Following the pandemic there is a growing demand for public health professionals able to use their specialist knowledge and skills to improve the population’s health and protect against global threats. On this course you learn how to prevent ill health and promote wellbeing locally and globally opening up a range of rewarding career paths.**<br/><br/>The course offers the opportunity to explore the differing health needs of populations; the influences on health; and how to prevent ill health and promote health and wellbeing. Using a blended learning approach we prepare you for working in the field of public health with theory applied to real-life situations. Subject areas covered may include public health protection and control of infectious diseases; leadership and management in public health including crisis leadership; health promotion and prevention including the prevention and management of infectious diseases; and supporting behaviour change.
