Depending on how your interests develop, you could choose to specialise in areas such as statistics, algebra, robotics and machine learning.<br/><br/>In small group tutorials we will encourage you to think critically and independently, helping you become a successful mathematician or computer scientist. The analytical and problem-solving skills you will learn will help you stand out in a highly competitive job market.<br/><br/>You will go on your industrial placement in your third year, then you will return to the University for your fourth year. You will be able to choose from a broad range of modules to specialise in mathematics or computer science.

Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)

A*AA including Mathematics or AAA with an A in Mathematics and grade 2 in any STEP paper. A level Mathematics or Further Mathematics required. General Studies not accepted, but a grade A may be considered if you fail to meet your offer.
