Taught by leading experts with a social justice perspective, you will explore learning and development across diverse contexts, including family, early years, and schooling. <br/><br/>You will explore psychological theories of learning and development across the lifespan including contexts such as family, early years, and schooling. The curriculum includes core and optional modules covering individual differences, biological, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology, all applied to education. Modules are updated regularly to reflect the latest research and trends in psychology and education and within the wider context of national and international policies. <br/><br/><strong>Why study this course?</strong><br/><br/>Our British Psychological Society accredited programme offers research informed curriculum which integrates Psychology and Education, allowing you to develop applied knowledge and understanding of psychology within a variety of Educational contexts including curriculum design, pedagogy and wider policy. <br/>A <strong>vocational placement</strong> within the UK or overseas in an educational setting which will provide you with valuable reflective practical learning.<br/>Option to <strong>study overseas</strong> - you will have the option to study overseas at one of our partner institutions for a year.<br/><br/>Please note that a range of different placement and dissertation options are available to students on this programme, and for some of these options you may need to have a DBS check. If necessary, support will be provided to complete the process at the appropriate point in the programme. <br/><br/>The BSc (Hons) Psychology in Education will prepare you for a range of postgraduate training and career options, including Educational Psychology, teaching and research. <br/><br/><strong>Accreditation</strong><br/><br/>This course is accredited by the <strong>British Psychological Society</strong>.
