Learn to manage complex construction projects from design to completion, informed by understanding of the core principles of civil engineering.<br/><br/>Our accredited course explores construction management, design of structures and project planning, as well as structures, materials, geotechnics and hydraulics.<br/><br/>Fieldwork, site visits, and projects run with our industry partners give you hands-on experience. You’ll work with students in interdisciplinary project teams on industry-based scenarios, ranging from design briefs to real-world case studies.<br/><br/>You’ll learn with staff active in research and consultancy and visiting industry experts will share their experience with you to give you a feel for what the working world is like.<br/><br/>The option of a salaried placement year and the opportunity to learn Building Information Modelling (BIM) will give you professional advantage. There is also the opportunity to study abroad in your third year.<br/><br/>Our Civil Engineering with Construction Management MEng course offers an extra year of study at masters level. <br/><br/>Our civil engineering courses are accredited by The Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), formed of five professional bodies; the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, (CIHT), the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) and the Permanent Way Institution (PWI).<br/><br/>**BEng (Hons) Accredited CEng (Partial)** <br/>This degree is accredited as: <br/>1. fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). <br/>2. partially satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
