This four-year degree offers a rigorous grounding in international business management while enabling you to develop high-level competence in a modern language and to study abroad in that language during your third year. International business increasingly requires the ability to respond to linguistic, cultural and institutional diversity, and this degree is designed to equip you with both the analytical capabilities and the intercultural fluency needed to work effectively across borders.
You will develop strong foundations in international business strategy, organisational behaviour and evidence-based management; learning to interpret economic and market shifts; analyse how multinational firms operate and evaluate the policy; and institutional environments that shape global business activity. Attention is given to both advanced and emerging markets, helping you understand how firms adapt to different regulatory, technological and cultural contexts. Sustainability, ethical practice and responsible business conduct are integrated throughout, encouraging you to consider how organisations can create value while addressing social and environmental challenges.
Alongside this analytical and strategic training, you will study a modern language from beginner or advanced level; gaining the linguistic and cultural literacy essential for engaging directly with local debates, business practices and societal perspectives. Your year abroad deepens this development; you will study business and management in your chosen language at one of our partner universities, strengthening your adaptability, intercultural communication and confidence in working within another business environment.
This combination of international business expertise, linguistic proficiency and lived overseas experience prepares you for careers in multinational firms, international organisations, diplomacy, consultancy and other roles where operating across languages and cultures is essential.
