**Course Overview**<br/><br/>If you’re keen to pursue an interest in education, our Education Studies with Foundation Year programme delves into the systems and experiences from early years to lifelong learning.<br/><br/>**Why study with us**<br/><br/><br/>- There are work placement opportunities within an educational setting at each stage of your degree.<br/><br/><br/>- If you’ve a prior qualification, you can join the course in Year 2 or 3, depending on your experience.<br/><br/><br/>- We keep your employment needs in mind, so study can usually take place with a one-day-release from your workplace.<br/><br/><br/>**What youll do**<br/><br/><br/>- Some of our graduates have gained Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) scholarships onto master’s degrees and doctorate level studies.<br/><br/><br/>- You’ll learn how to conduct research, develop presentations, collaborate in teams and develop critical approaches to policy and literature.<br/><br/><br/>- Tailor your dissertation study to particular professional needs or personal interests.<br/><br/><br/>**Accreditation**<br/><br/><br/>- The Institute is at the leading edge of management thinking and are a globally recognised professional membership body for leaders and managers. Their research into new ideas, techniques and methods ensures that ILM courses are constantly improving, helping to develop students leadership and management skills.<br/><br/><br/>**Future Careers**<br/><br/>Education Studies Foundation Year can lead to different careers in education, but the majority of our graduates progress to teaching, gaining places on primary PGCE courses or joining the Schools Direct programme.
