Study the law and governance of strategic decisions on complex economic, environmental, and technological questions around sustainability. <br/><br/>You will examine the relationship between energy, the environment, and climate change and how they relate to sustainability throughout all sectors in society. You ll learn to design and plan interventions for creating change to promote greater sustainability across different scales.<br/><br/>Youll learn to analyse, evaluate, and critically review theory and policy debates relating to sustainability. You will also be able to draw on international perspectives and examples of best practice in relation to methods of evaluation and assessment of sustainability.<br/><br/>You will have the opportunity to go on a related placement with industry or the public sector, where you will work on an actual case for real clients.<br/><br/>Actively engage in independent research, with the potential to join our PhD community after your Masters. You will also be part of the research community at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) and the wider University, and participate in the annual Dundee Energy Forum and the climate change conference.<br/><br/>In 2015, all UN countries pledged support for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to achieve a more prosperous future for all while protecting natural resources. This course aligns itself closely to these goals and you will have the opportunity to learn more about them during your studies.<br/><br/>CEPMLP has been a global voice of energy law and policy since 1977.
