Pharmacology is the study of how drugs can affect the body - whether to treat disorders or change bodily functions. It brings together the study of physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, combining the three disciplines to encourage new insights.

Research in pharmacology aims to better understand drug action and to produce new drugs that improve patient care.
