This course gives you the opportunity to study a range of philosophical and legal topics. Your philosophy modules provide an introduction to the major topics of philosophy, while your legal modules analyse the major divisions of common law (contract, tort and crime) and the relation between the citizen and the state (public law).

This course gives you the opportunity to study a range of philosophical and legal topics. Your philosophy modules provide an introduction to the major topics of philosophy, while your legal modules analyse the major divisions of common law (contract, tort and crime) and the relation between the citizen and the state (public law).<br/><br/>This joint course provides you with a thorough academic training in the two disciplines and develops your critical, analytical, and argumentative skills. This enables you to apply methods of philosophical analysis to legal issues and foster an awareness of the legal dimensions of moral and ethical issues.
