<strong>VETERINARY MEDICINE & SURGERY (GRADUATES ONLY)</strong>: - School leavers and those without an undergraduate degree should apply to course D100. <br/><br/>As a vet you can contribute to society in a variety of ways. This can include serving the healthcare needs of mammals and birds raised for food, as well as acquiring an understanding of the structure and processes of relevant parts of the food industry, advocating for animal welfare, contributing to research, conservation, innovation and business. The majority of registered veterinary surgeons in the UK are in general practice, which may be small animal, farm animal, equine or mixed. Our graduates are also employed in government service, dealing with investigation, control and eradication of important diseases. Others are actively engaged in food hygiene or in university teaching and research.
