**Why Diagnostic Radiography?**
Our Diagnostic Radiography degree will prepare you to deliver high quality patient-centred healthcare in a range of clinical settings. The course is pending approval by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Society of Radiographers (SoR), so that on graduation you can apply to register and practice as a Diagnostic Radiographer, using state-of-the-art technology and imaging techniques to assess injuries and illnesses.

Developed in partnership with key local healthcare organisations, our course is designed to ensure you’ll develop abilities and knowledge that meet the needs of health employers and patients in Gloucestershire and beyond. You’ll study essential topics in anatomy, physiology, pathology, physics and clinical imaging, while also learning how to communicate effectively and work as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team. Working alongside a variety of experienced practitioners on placements as well as in simulated clinical settings on campus, you’ll put theory into practice. You’ll use our new, industry-standard imaging facilities to learn plain film imaging techniques as well as specialist imaging skills such as interventional radiography, CT and MRI. You’ll therefore have the support, facilities and experiences you need to become a confident and able practicing professional. Whats more, our Diagnostic Radiography course scored 93% for teaching and 100% for academic support in the National Student Survey 2024.

**Why University of Gloucestershire?**
At University of Gloucestershire, we’ve been encouraging students to meet every ambition since 1847.
