Our BA (Hons) Applied Community and Social Care Studies course will provide you with a strong knowledge base and develop the key skills required for community and social care leadership roles.<br/><br/><strong>Why study with us</strong><br/><br/><br/>• Excellent teaching and student support from the course team and University’s wider support services.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Guided opportunities to access structured work experience via our own Central for Volunteering in Community Leadership (CVCL).<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Youll have the opportunity to hear about the experiences of service users, carers, patients and public members via our community engagement and service user support (Comensus) groups.<br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>What youll do</strong><br/><br/><br/>• Interactive, inclusive and engaging lectures/ seminars incorporating a blended learning approach both in class and online for flexibility of learning and study.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Our strong links with employers and agencies enable you to link classroom learning to live experiences across a wide range of social care and community-based organisations.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• You’ll be encouraged to enrich your experience by engaging with the School’s research culture through attending guest speaker seminars and conferences.<br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>Future careers</strong><br/><br/>BA (Hons) Applied Community and Social Care Studies graduates are well placed to work for a wide variety of employers in welfare settings: education, the police, probation and the national offender service, youth offending teams, housing management, substance misuse agencies and many more.
