This validation recognises our outstanding facilities, focus on the student experience and commitment to employability.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• This course is expected to lead to Part I recognition by the ARB, the statutory body for the registration of architects in the UK. It enables you to progress becoming a chartered architect and ARB member.<br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>Future careers</strong><br/><br/><br/>• Architecture Foundation Year can lead to a career in an architectural practice with a professional accreditation, or into a related field.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Successful completion of the foundation year leads to progression onto Year 1 of the BSc (Hons) Architecture. Following a year’s experience in architectural practice or related field of work, you are able to enter the MArch Architecture Part II at UCLan. The MArch Architecture Part II is prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and Royal institute of Architects (RIBA) leading to Part 2 recognition, which allows you to proceed on a path to become a registered architect and ARB member.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Postgraduate level programmes exist in architectural conservation, construction law, urban regeneration and construction management.<br/><br/>
