This degree will equip you with the skills to lead, teach, and motivate through movement, setting you on the path to an exciting career in education or youth sports. <br/><br/>Youll study foundational teaching skills, where you’ll learn how to design, lead, and assess impactful PE lessons. You’ll take a modern approach to physical education to create positive, active learning environments. You’ll build on these essentials, giving you the experience to motivate students across all levels and abilities.<br/><br/>As part of the course, you will explore strategies to make sport and physical activity accessible and enjoyable for everyone. This includes gaining insights into inclusive physical education. You’ll gain the skills to work in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and community settings.<br/><br/>We prioritise work experience, so you can gain practical skills and experience. This can include school placements, SEND services and other relevant sports organisations. In your second year, you can also choose to complete a year in industry.<br/><br/>In your final year, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned to an independent research project. This will give you the chance to research an area thats important to you. Studying this degree could lead to a career in teaching, coaching, personal training, public services and health.  <br/><br/>This degree has a practical focus on developing relevant skills, independent research and expert teaching, preparing you for a diverse range of career opportunities.<br/><br/>Many of our graduates have gone into primary and secondary teaching. This will require the completion of a PGCE.<br/><br/>Graduates have also set up their own businesses in the physical activity arena. This includes careers as trainers or coaches.
