Youll gain academic skills and cover current sport topics.<br/><br/>Our foundation year prepares you to study at degree level. You’ll learn how to research topics and write academically. You’ll gain key skills like taking notes, personal reflection and groupwork. These skills will help you succeed in university and beyond.<br/><br/>You’ll explore current issues in sport and wellbeing. This will help to build your understanding of the field as a whole. You’ll then choose a topic that interests you as the subject for your project or portfolio. <br/><br/>Upon successful completion of your foundation year, you can progress to the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree. This will give you the specialist skills and knowledge to manage an injured athletes rehabilitation and recovery. Professional development is at the heart of this degree, with a strong focus on real-world experience. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work in our student-led Sports Therapy and Sports Massage Clinic on our Preston Campus. This fully equipped injury clinic, featuring a cutting-edge movement analysis lab, offers a real-world environment for you to refine your expertise.<br/><br/>Many of our graduates go on to launch successful private injury clinics, while others secure roles with professional and semi-professional sports teams and organisations. With the increasing demand for sports therapists in healthcare, graduates also find rewarding careers in the NHS and private healthcare.
