Entry Requirements

Scottish Higher

AA in Advanced Highers and AABBB in Highers, or A in an Advanced Higher and AAABB in Highers, or AAAAAA in Highers. To include accepted subjects.

Access to HE Diploma

Pass 60 credits overall with 45 credits at Level 3, 30 credits with Distinction and the remaining 15 credits with Merit or above. The A2HE diploma must cover modules aligned with the subjects named in the A-level section.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

6,6,6 at higher level preferably including Geography. If Geography is not included we would expect two accepted subjects.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

D*DD

D*DD in National Extended Diploma. We can also accept a combination of National Extended Certificates and A-levels. The BTEC, with or without combination A-levels, must cover modules aligned with the subjects named in the A-level section.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

AAAAAA/H2H2H2H2H2H2 including accepted subjects.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

A minimum of English Language at grade 6 (B) and Mathematics at 7 (A), or an equivalent English language and Mathematics qualification. We will accept Level 2 Functional Skills English instead of GCSE English.

Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal

D3, D3, D3 including accepted subjects.

AAA preferably including Geography. If Geography is not included, we would expect two from the following: Biology; Economics; English; History; Mathematics; Sociology; a modern language; Politics; Psychology. Where an A-Level Science subject is taken, we require a pass in the practical science element, alongside the achievement of the A-Level at the stated grade.
