Learn how you can use psychology to enhance your educational practice, helping individuals reach their full potential.
Today’s educators and their students constantly face huge hurdles in education. Limited funding and resources. Unequal access to learning. Mental health challenges.
However, applying psychology to education can reap significant benefits. It helps students with their motivation, learning, development, and wellbeing, making you a better educator.
This course showcases how different educational approaches can positively affect learning and development for a diverse range of people. You’ll learn how to apply psychological principles to understand and address issues in education settings and beyond. This offers you a solid foundation for pursuing a wide range of careers, like teaching, youth work, psychology, counselling, and social work.
You’ll learn from experts in education and psychology who use their research to inform their teaching, introducing you to the latest debates within educational psychology. Additionally, you’ll get the chance to conduct your own research, exploring the relationship between these two disciplines.
You’ll also benefit from opportunities to gain practical experience in an educational setting, allowing you to put theory into practice and shine as an engaging and effective educator.
I truly appreciate how the University offers support and counselling advice to students to help them face both academic and personal challenges.
