In todays world, the influence of psychology on educational policy and practice has never been more significant. The intersection of Psychology and Education is an exciting field of study, characterised by diverse theoretical and methodological approaches.<br/><br/>This course shows you how different educational approaches impact learning and development for a diverse range of individuals. You will learn to apply psychological principles to understand and address issues in education settings and more broadly, providing you with a solid foundation for pursuing a wide range of future careers. These careers include teaching, youth work, psychology, counselling, and social work.<br/><br/>You will learn from experts in education and psychology who use their research to inform their teaching. This will introduce you to the latest debates in the area of educational psychology. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct your own research, exploring the relationship between these two disciplines.<br/><br/>The course incudes both theoretical and practical components. You will benefit from opportunities to gain practical experience in an educational setting, allowing you to apply your theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts.

In general we expect applicants to have two ‘traditional’ academic subjects at A-level. See our accepted subjects document to see which subjects we accept. The Extended Project is welcomed but is not included as part of our offer. We do not accept any applied A Levels.

We will consider T-levels in appropriate subjects as they become available. In all cases applicants should have GCSE English at 4 or above.
