The main aerospace engineering topics you’ll study include aerodynamics, aero structures, flight dynamics and control, propulsion systems, communications, avionics and aircraft materials. The programmes include a two day flight test course in a Jetstream aircraft.

D*DD in acceptable BTEC, plus B in A level Mathematics (not accepted without B in A level Mathematics). Accepted BTECs include Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Engineering.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

Including H1 and H2 in Mathematics and a second science (any order). We also require a minimum of H6 in Higher English or O3 in Ordinary English.

GCSE Mathematics and English at grade 4/C required. Applicants with equivalent qualifications or who do not meet these GCSE requirements will be considered on an individual basis according to their circumstances.

Applicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade A in the EPQ, for example the offer would be AAB or ABB plus A in the EPQ.

Applicants following the modular Mathematics A Level must be studying A Level Physics or Further Mathematics as the second science (or must be studying at least one Mechanics module in their Mathematics A Level). Accepted science subjects: Applied ICT Biology (and Human Biology) Chemistry Computer Science Economics Electronics Environmental Science Further Mathematics Geography Geology ICT Life and Health Sciences Psychology Physics Statistics. For applicants studying A levels with English exam boards: Where a science has been taken at A level (Chemistry, Biology, Geology or Physics), a pass in the Science practical of each subject will be required.
