50% Business allows students to develop a broad understanding of how organisations operate and compete in complex and changing markets. This programme introduces a wide range of business disciplines, including Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Marketing, Strategic Management, Information Communications Technology, Accounting and Finance, and Economics. Students will analyse how organisations make strategic decisions and respond to global challenges, while exploring contemporary topics such as knowledge management, globalisation, sustainability, and business ethics. Please note that you cannot increase the business component on your combined degree, i.e. you cannot increase from 50% to 75% Business.

German Studies (50% of your degree) combines advanced linguistic development with in-depth cultural study. You will take German language at beginners or advanced level, working towards becoming proficient, alongside cultural modules each semester, in addition to modules in your partner subject. Cultural modules cover a range of specialisms, enabling the study of the literature, films, sociolinguistics, histories and societies of German-speaking countries. A Year Abroad is spent in a German speaking country as a student at a university, an assistant in a school, or on a work placement. If you combine German with another language, you will split the year between two countries.

Most Combined Degrees allow you to adapt the weighting of each by 25% after the first year, helping you to keep your options open. Please note, however, students studying either a Business or Economics pathway in combination with another subject cannot increase from 25% to 50% or from 50% to 75% and it is not possible to transfer from a 50% to 75% Law.
