Film Studies with Italian BA (Hons)

If you study Film Studies as a major with another subject as a minor (75/25) you will take 75% of your credits in Film per year. In year one, your modules are all compulsory. The number of optional modules increases in year two and three. In year three, you may do a dissertation module or a research project in Film Studies.<br/><br/>The Italian component allows students to develop Italian language skills (whether from beginner or A level standard) to becoming a proficient user, as well as introducing them to practical, digital and mediation skills such as translation and interpreting. Students taking 25% Italian with the year abroad will also enhance their understanding of aspects of life and culture in Italy as well as developing their proficiency in the language, their intercultural and transnational awareness and communication abilities, and their practical and interpersonal employability skills.<br/><br/>Combined Degrees<br/>Most Combined Degrees allow you to adapt the weighting of each by 25% after the first year, helping you to keep your options open. Please note, however, students studying either a Business or Economics pathway in combination with another subject cannot increase from 25% to 50% or from 50% to 75% and it is not possible to transfer from a 50% to 75% Law.
