Our 75:25 programmes enable you to specialise in the study of International Relations while also studying a modern foreign language. Our 75:25 programmes enable you to specialise in the study of International Relations while also studying a modern foreign language. The great majority of your studies will focus on the international political system and on the comparative study of politics. You will learn about theories of international relations, about the role of international organisations, about the causes of wars and the success and failure of attempts to end them, and about how nation-states relate to each other in a complex and unpredictable, world.<br/><br/>Our Minor in Spanish enables you to attain proficiency by graduation through structured and immersive language training. You will develop advanced skills in writing, reading, speaking and listening in one of the world’s most important languages, widely spoken in Spain, across North, Central and South America, the Caribbean and extending into the United States. Spanish opens access to dynamic global regions and to rich literary, cinematic and intellectual traditions, alongside major social, cultural and historical debates. An optional Year Abroad in Spain, Latin America, or both, further strengthens fluency and intercultural competence, enhancing your career prospects worldwide.<br/><br/>Most Combined Degrees allow you to adapt the weighting of each by 25% after the first year, helping you to keep your options open. Please note, however, students studying either a Business or Economics pathway in combination with another subject cannot increase from 25% to 50% or from 50% to 75% and it is not possible to transfer from a 50% to 75% Law.
