How can companies remain competitive in a crowded marketplace?<br/><br/>How do they decide how much to invest in research and development? How do regulatory systems impact profit margins, innovation and growth?<br/><br/>Our BSc Industrial Economics will uncover the answers to these questions and more, giving you an understanding of the complex relationships between economics and global business practices. You will examine a company, take an in-depth look at its structure, markets, competitors and external economic environment.<br/><br/>You can follow your interests and career aspirations by selecting from a wide range of optional modules alongside your core subjects. <br/><br/>By undertaking a Placement Year you will receive additional workshops in your first and second years, alongside professional advice from our dedicated Placements Team. <br/><br/>You will spend year three in industry applying your skills in real world business environments.<br/><br/>You can apply for placements available to students on your course or can agree your own placement with an appropriate company. During your placement year, you remain fully registered with the University, with regular meetings with our dedicated Placements Team.<br/><br/>Our Placements Team, and Careers and Employability Service will support you throughout this entire process.
