Offering the same level of academic excellence and practical experience as our main aerospace engineering degrees, this exciting course also gives you the opportunity to learn to fly in your second year.<br/><br/>**Begin your journey as a pilot by combining hands-on experience of flying and building aircraft with a thorough understanding of aerospace engineering.**<br/><br/>This BEng brings together the essential theories of aerospace engineering with more intensive pilot training.<br/><br/>Over three years you’ll study modules on propulsion, instrumentation, computation and design of aerodynamics – tailoring the degree to follow either avionic systems or aeromechanics.<br/><br/>Alongside the theoretical, you’ll take ground training for flight and five hours of flight training. You can also expand your experience thanks to our links with the Yorkshire Universities Air Squadron.<br/><br/>We’ll teach you how to manage a project from start to finish, and how to communicate with people from a wide range of engineering disciplines.
