Then in the second half of the course you can focus on more specialised and advanced water engineering modules.**<br/><br/>**Develop advanced technical and multidisciplinary design skills in civil engineering – tackling complex issues related to sustainable and resilient infrastructure.**<br/><br/>The course integrates a strong focus on civil engineering analysis and design with the latest research on sustainable development – equipping you to tackle challenges in the built environment and design innovative solutions that minimise impact on the environment.<br/><br/>Years one and two see you develop a sound understanding of core principles: structural engineering, materials, fluid mechanics, and geotechnics.<br/><br/>Group projects will challenge you to take on complex real-world problems – applying your engineering knowledge to create sustainable solutions, while developing the transferable skills like communication, team working and project management, sought after by employers.<br/><br/>The second half of the course prepares you for your future career, extending your design experience and allowing you to specialise in those advanced topics you’re passionate about.
