Fashion Management BSc (Hons)

BSc (Hons) Fashion Management is for students who are interested in business, business numeracy and quantitative skills and management within the context of the fashion industry. The fashion industry is complex, global and highly competitive. It requires graduates who can respond to changing challenges and opportunities. This course will equip you with the relevant professional, academic, communication and business skills to tackle these challenges and exploit any opportunities. <br/><br/>**What can you expect?** <br/><br/>BSc (Hons) Fashion Management students will develop skills to manipulate data and to model a range of business problems, functions and phenomena. Students undertake industry-led projects and meet fashion experts who will share their ideas and opinions with you. Recently we have welcomed in representatives from Net a Porter, Tiffany and Harvey Nichols.<br/><br/>This course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This will give you the opportunity to graduate with a CMI Diploma level 5 in addition to your degree. <br/><br/>You will have the option of doing a placement year between the second and final year of the course. Successful completion of this placement year will give you an additional qualification. You will also have the opportunity to make contacts and build relationships within the industry. Students from this course have taken up placements with Debenhams, ASOS, River Island and Jimmy Choo. Throughout the course we support you with career planning sessions enabling you to make contacts and build relationships within the industry before you graduate.<br/><br/>Over the course of the degree students have the opportunity to enter external prizes and competitions. You will have the opportunity to attend relevant conferences and to visit a European fashion city on an optional trip in the first year.<br/><br/>London College of Fashion (LCF) undergraduate courses develop your personal and professional skills. On this course you will develop skills in your discipline until you are an independent creative thinker. Your skills will make you capable of making an effective contribution to this sector of the fashion industry. We embed Personal and Professional Development (PPD) skills in all units on every course. Speaker programmes with contributions from alumni and members of industry are a part of many courses.
