Whether youre animating a hand-drawn short or creating a 3D digital sequence, our resources and supportive staff allow you to fully explore your ideas and develop your technical skills. <br/><br/>Through hands-on learning, industry-standard software, live client briefs, and collaboration with other creatives, youll graduate with the confidence, experience and portfolio needed to succeed in a competitive global industry.<br/><br/>**What Happens on this Course?<br/>From day one, you’ll be immersed in the art and science of animation. The course begins with core principles - drawing, movement, storytelling - and expands into digital 2D and 3D animation using industry - standard software and workflows. You’ll be encouraged to explore different media and techniques, including stop-motion, motion capture and compositing, using our purpose-built studios and computer labs. <br/><br/>As you progress, your work will become more collaborative and industry - focused. You’ll work in teams on creative projects and gain practical experience in studio-like settings, using the University’s cutting-edge 3D motion capture and virtual production suite. Our stop-motion studios allow for hands-on, tactile creativity, while our editing and sound facilities support post-production and refinement. <br/><br/>In your final year, you’ll tackle real-world briefs, manage your own production pipeline, and produce a final major project that demonstrates your creativity, technical expertise, and storytelling ability.
