York is one of a handful of universities with a college system. From the moment you arrive on campus you'll be welcomed as part of the community. Much more than a place to live, your college will provide you with a network of support, friendship, facilities and a full calendar of events and activities to ease you into university life.
Alongside colleges, we have a thriving social scene: over 60 sports clubs and 200 student societies, from astronomy to archery and politics to poetry. There's always something to be part of, both on campus and in the city.
