This internationally recognised qualification provides a platform for students who are seeking to work in Applied Healthcare roles in primary, secondary and tertiary, diagnostic and therapeutic settings such as rehabilitation, speech and language, dietetics, community diagnostics and operating theatre technical roles. <br/>The programme is developed to work closely with sector employers including the NHS trusts to provide experiential learning that supports and strengthens the theory learning. <br/><br/>**Level 4 (Year 1)<br/>Unit 1: Law, policy and ethical practice (15 Credits)**<br/>Build working knowledge of core underpinning legal principles and perspectives to national and international law and key topics in health and care practice. Including legal and policy framework relating to health and care practice in different settings. <br/>**Unit 2: Demonstrating professional principles and values in health and social care practices (30 Credits)**<br/>Through compilation of a practice learning assessment and development portfolio students will evidence learning and development against essential core elements of professional development. This module is run in conjunction with work placement.<br/>**Unit 3: Supporting the individual journey through integrated health and social care (15 Credits)**<br/>Studying the importance of professional communication and coordination of care, learning how to work effectively to meet the needs of individuals and multidisciplinary teams. <br/>**Unit 4: Fundamentals of evidence-based practice (15 Credits)**<br/>This module supports students to develop research skills that they can apply to professional and quality improvement within healthcare settings and links closely to work placement learning. <br/>**Unit 5: Principles of health education (15 Credits)**<br/>This module supports you to explore health education and the wider health and wellbeing of individuals. Exploring health inequalities and was to address these challenges. <br/>**Unit 7: Effective healthcare practice using maths (15 Credits)**<br/>This practical applied module helps student to become confident and competent with using math within healthcare practices. These skills being essential when working within the sector help prepare students for work. <br/>**Unit 9: Applied anatomy and physiology (15 Credits)**<br/>Developing background knowledge and understanding of the healthy human body and how it works supports students to gain the skills to enable them to contribute to improved care and outcomes for individuals with complex conditions.
