Master advanced sound engineering techniques as you build your portfolio of work. You will work with artists and clients from across the media industry throughout the course. This course is your chance to gain the skills and experience you need to establish yourself as an innovative and professional producer.<br/><br/>On this course, you will learn by producing music for professional clients and for yourself. This allows you to build your portfolio and become a confident producer who can adapt to any production situation.<br/><br/>During your time with us, you will:<br/><br/>Write and produce commercial tracks to enhance your musical understanding<br/>Learn advanced studio recording techniques with a developed understanding of acoustics<br/>Sequence and synthesize sounds and beats using different digital technologies<br/>Learn to negotiate with clients, promote products and handle contracts<br/>Produce a major piece of work, like an album or film soundtrack.<br/>Alongside the practical element of this degree, you will advance your theoretical understanding of music production. Through lectures you will contribute to current debates around production. This could involve examining modern distribution platforms, the history of production, music in film and much more.<br/><br/>When you study with us you benefit from professional experience with artists and clients. You will work on projects with professional producers from the creative industries. You will take part in masterclasses and workshops with high profile music industry guests. There are opportunities to visit professional recording studios, including a working visit to Abbey Road studios in your final year.
