The BSc (Hons) Radiography (Radiotherapy and Oncology) with Foundation Year at Health Sciences University is a four year, full time course designed to prepare you for a rewarding career as a theraputic radiographer. You’ll start by completing a foundation year, which provides well-structured support. Following successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress with confidence to the first year of the BSc (Hons) Radiography (Radiotherapy and Oncology) degree.
One in two of the population will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and so radiotherapy treatment, which uses high energy x-rays to treat tumours, has never been more important. Up to a third of people with cancer will need radiotherapy and will rely on people like you to provide it.
Studying the BSc (Hons) Radiography (Radiotherapy and Oncology) course will equip you with all the skills and knowledge you need to become a fully qualified therapeutic radiographer and you’ll develop the ability to think critically, analyse data, evaluate treatments and empathise with the patients in your care.
On completion of the course, you will have the ability to synthesise evidence from current practice and research to develop in-depth critical knowledge and understanding of the therapeutic profession.\

This BSc (Hons) Radiography (Radiotherapy and Oncology) course will enable you to learn how to work under pressure using advanced equipment, and make split-second critical decisions.
This course is accredited by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) for eligibility to apply for registration.
