Religion, Philosophy and Ethics Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - BA (Hons)

In our Religion, Philosophy and Ethics (BA) programme, you'll investigate topical and complex issues from a range of perspectives and address some of today’s great social challenges.

You'll explore how beliefs shape lives, societies and global challenges. You’ll examine core questions about ethics, religion and philosophy while developing the skills to think independently, critically and creatively and work through difficult problems in an open-minded and collaborative way, including on sensitive and controversial topics

We support you to analyse complex ideas, challenge assumptions and engage with multiple perspectives on issues such as identity, equality, politics and belief. You’ll study religious traditions, moral philosophy, epistemology and contemporary ethical debates, linking theory and practice. Examination of the practical implications of religious and philosophical thought are emphasised with a collaborative project that applies philosophical research to develop policies or strategies aimed at solving a real-world ethical or social problem.

Through collaborative projects, research and optional placements, you’ll apply your knowledge to address social and ethical challenges. By the end of the programme, you’ll graduate with strong communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills, ready for careers across industries or further study, and equipped to make a positive impact on society.
