A level

Must include two subjects from: Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Physical Education or Mathematics. Biology is a preferred subject. Please note that A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by King's as one of your A levels. NOTE: If you are taking linear A levels in England, you will be required to pass the practical endorsement in all Science subjects. This is with the exception of private candidates who are unable to take the practical component.

Scottish Higher

Must be a combination of three Scottish Highers and two Scottish Advanced Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject.

Access to Science (or similar subject) with 45 Level 3 credits: 30 must be from units awarded at Distinction, with the remaining 15 Level 3 credits at Merit. Study must cover two subjects areas of Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Physical Education or Mathematics. 60 credits altogether are required.

Scottish Advanced Higher

Must be combined with three Scottish Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject. Must include two subjects from: Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Physical Education or Mathematics. Biology is a preferred subject.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

33 points overall or an aggregate score of 16 from three Higher Levels. Must include grade 5 at Higher Level in two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sports Exercise and Health Science or Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches or Applications & Interpretation). The total point score of 33 includes TOK/EE.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

If combined with A-Level, M2 would be needed in the subject requirement.
