At Lincoln Bishop University, we are committed to practising what we teach. The delivery of health and social care is a topic of ongoing public and political debate, especially as demand for these services continues to rise. With the UK’s population of over-75s expected to more than double in the next 20 years, and over 22% of people already aged over 65, the sector faces unprecedented challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has further highlighted the pressures and vulnerabilities within the system.
This course offers you the chance to explore these critical issues, reflect on current practices, and develop the skills to drive positive change. You will learn how to think differently and make a real difference in the lives of individuals and communities, preparing you for a rewarding career in a vital and evolving sector.
If you don’t have, or don’t think you will attain, the normal tariff points for studying at Lincoln Bishop University, this course will enable you to study for a degree without any UCAS points. The course is delivered over four years and includes a Foundation Year, which gives you a perfect introduction to what it means to be a university student and prepares you for effective undergraduate study. In your Foundation Year, you will study eight modules, all of which are designed to equip you with the necessary academic skills and knowledge to progress successfully in your chosen subject. You will also engage in a series of bespoke subject sessions delivered by experts, designed to introduce you to your chosen subject area.
