The HNC Civil Engineering for England (HTQ) programme is a vocational qualification designed to offer students practical experience in the typical tasks and requirements of engineering professionals and the underpinning academic knowledge.
Through both practical and theoretical sessions, students have the opportunity to develop the hands-on skills that are essential for successful employment within the sector. Assignments are vocational in nature and students are encouraged to apply their knowledge in the most relevant way to their current employment or aspirational job role.
A number of off-site visits are undertaken throughout the course to support the theoretical principles and practices delivered.
This course is a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ). HTQs are technical qualifications that have been developed by employers and awarding bodies so students can develop the skills that employers want.
The course is part of Lincolnshire Institute of Technology (IoT).
