Biological Sciences is an exciting and rapidly developing field, bringing together knowledge, ideas and techniques that expand our understanding of the human body and its interplay with the environment.
Our Biological Sciences degree is designed to develop your understanding of the fundamental mechanisms underlying human life and health.
On this course, you will explore topics ranging from genetics, biochemistry and cell biology to physiology, human evolution and regenerative medicine. You'll be able to tailor your studies to suit your interests and career goals through a variety of optional modules, undertake a final project of your own choosing, and develop practical skills in our specialist laboratories, including the £17m STEMLab.
You'll also have the option to undertake a year-long professional placement or study abroad as part of your degree, boosting your employability and allowing you to gain valuable real-world experience.
